I still dont like the rng aspects here and there. I still have a run with my old upgrade path were i reached Island 2 now, but i changed the order of Missions a bit and it went a bit smoother already. It surely would make the beginning easier if i change up the upgrade path a bit and take the Vest upgrade. It could have to do with me being lucky getting more good support Cards in these runs early on and much less in the last 2 runs. Maybe iam just to greedy, i stop using Inf half way through the game so i dont bother about the Vest upgrades and in many runs it wasnt a problem. If anything it got easier because you can have coupons now more consistently by selling wires/bags/mines to guarantee warpips/pipsqueaks every mission till 2nd island where warpip drops are high enough to no longer really risk running out of them.Ĭlassic bullet vest 1 -> pip supply 1 -> bullet vest 2 tech progression lets you beat maps with warpips/pipsqueaks alone or with 1-2 extra cards if you need soft/hardcounters to buggies, gaspips or a lot of enemy types. Seems like rushing straight to the next Island is the only viable strategy now on the highest difficulty, at least when it comes to consistancy.įeels like the whole Game is balanced arounds the second highest Difficulty, which is a fun experience but sadly way too easy, only if you trigger elite troops it can get spicy.īut hey its early access so i jsut have to chill out. Sometimes you get lucky and get 3-4 Dogs and can use them on the first Island against huge Inf swarms, but sometimes you have so litle to chose from. Its just that even on a pure yellow waves i get swarmed by wave after wave that i cant push through. Na its not only that, i always go for more pips, more xp, vehicle upgrades and sometimes Gun Turret upgrade when i get alot of them and the path is full with smaller Maps. It makes warpips, pipsquaks and tacticians considerably more durable, especially vs AOE damage like gas which could be wrecking you if you have neither armor or hardcounter for them to stop gas in first place.
